Privacy & terms
Collab runs on your hardware. Almost nothing reaches me, and this page exists mainly to say which parts those are.
These are honest drafts written alongside the product, not documents a lawyer has looked at. They must be reviewed before the beta takes a single real submission.
The app, the index, the embeddings and the transcription all run on your machine. Your documents, your annotations and your threads stay there. There is no telemetry that ships content, and there is no hosted copy of your vault.
Your inference provider sees what you send it. You bring your own key, so that relationship is yours and their terms apply, not mine. Choosing a local model means nothing leaves your machine at all.
This site runs on Cloudflare. The invite form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out, which means Cloudflare sees your request in order to run that check. Your answers are stored in a Cloudflare database that only I can read. Your IP address is used for the bot check and is not stored.
Ask and your invite-form entry is deleted. Your vault is on your disk and is yours to delete without involving me.
A free, invited beta of closed-source software you run yourself. It is not open-source and not source-available. You get a licence to run it while the beta lasts; you do not get the source and you may not redistribute the binary.
It is provided as-is. It is early software handling notes you care about, and the honest advice is the same as for any beta: keep your own backups. Document bodies live in your git mirror; annotations and review state live in your database, and backing that up is yours.
The beta may be paused or ended, and features may change or be removed. If it ends, your vault is unaffected — it is markdown in a folder you already had, and it stays readable without this or any other application.
The beta is free and there is no paid tier yet. Nothing you do during the beta will be charged for retroactively. If pricing arrives, it applies going forward and you will be asked before anything changes.
One person: [email protected]. Requests to delete your invite-form entry go there too.
